It is not difficult to learn how to draw a tree with leaves – a simple step-by-step tutorial accompanied by photos and videos. Step 1. Draw a trunk
Let us draw a wide tree trunk making it narrower in the direction from the bottom to the top.
Step 2. Draw branches
We draw the main branches of a tree.
Step 3. Draw twigs
Draw small twigs which grow out of large branches.
Step 4. Make shadows
We add shading to the trunk and thick branches while sticking to one side.
Step 5. Create highlights
Use a yellow (or the lightest) marker/pencil to draw and color the tree crown. This color is employed for creating a highlight effect on the tree crown.
Step 6. Finish coloring the tree crown
Apply dark green or several shades of green. Leave yellow spots. We also use dark green to color the parts which are close to the trunk and light green to color the parts which are close to the tree crown contour. Color the trunk.
